Quick Guide
  • Choose a Sorcerer element and enabling ability together: Infernal Covenant supports Fire Elemental and Burning targets, Frozen Barrage supports Ice Shards and Slowed targets, and Stormcaller supports Lightning Storm.
  • Fire Ball, Ice Shards and Electrocute are Basic attacks; Lightning Storm is Strong, and Fire Elemental and Ice Nova are Specials. Family and slot limits matter as much as the elemental label.
  • Mana support and target conditions belong in the same build plan as damage. The source comparisons below do not establish a universal fastest-farm or highest-floor ranking.

The captured class sheet places Lightning Storm at level thirty-five. Older launch prose sometimes places it at forty-five, so check the ability panel before using a historical route. Keep unlock level, talent row gate and rune-slot availability separate. A newly available spell is not automatically selected, and a talent that names one element or spell is not a bonus to every caster attack.

Three sets change three different mechanics

Wikily set descriptions, also present in AFK Meta
Set2 pieces4 pieces6 pieces
Infernal Covenant+65% damage to Burning enemiesFire Elemental gains PyroblastFire Elemental also gains Fire Meteor
Frozen Barrage+65% damage to Slowed enemiesIce Shards applies ChillIce Shards fires three additional projectiles
Stormcaller+50% Lightning damageEach Lightning Storm strike splashes damageEach strike creates a Lightning Ball with periodic area damage

Two pieces do not grant the later summon abilities, extra projectiles or Lightning Balls. The available slots arrive at hero levels forty, forty-five, fifty, fifty-five, sixty and sixty-five according to AFK Meta, making the first two-piece threshold a level-forty-five plan under that schedule. Develop the attack direction earlier, then compare the actual equipped set count as slots open.

Fire: separate the Basic spell, Burning condition and summon

Fire Ball supplies an early Basic anchor, while Fire Elemental is a level-fifteen Special. Infernal Covenant’s first threshold improves damage against Burning targets; it does not simply add sixty-five percent to every hit regardless of status. The later thresholds add abilities to the summon. A Fire Ball-focused character and a summon-focused character can therefore share an element without using the same talent priorities.

Immolation describes Fire Ball applying Burn, Conflagration describes damage to Burning targets, and Elemental Fury improves Fire Elemental attack speed in the captured planner. Ignite is a separate thirty-spent capstone applying Burn from critical hits. Choose an actual status source, then evaluate the conditional bonus; do not count every exclusive capstone in one finished tree.

Fire Lord’s Necklace adds a Fire Elemental, while Ring of the Fourth Flame changes every fourth Fire Ball into a Pyroblast. Those effects support related but distinct sources of damage. They are not proof that a companion or repeated generated cast contributes to the hero’s own-cast counters; the h announcement excludes repeats and minion/summon attacks for cast-counter talents.

Cold: establish Slowed or Frozen targets and useful control

Frozen Barrage’s two-piece condition is Slowed, and its four-piece effect adds Chill to Ice Shards. At six, the reference adds three projectiles. Before that fourth piece, identify which ability or talent is actually supplying the needed slow. A Cold percentage and a Slowed-target percentage are different properties, even if one control skill helps both parts of the build.

Frost Mastery supplies Cold damage, Enhance Ice Shards: Damage names the Basic attack, Deep Chill changes the potency/duration of Chill, and Flash Freeze adds a chance to turn Chill application into Frozen. Shattering Ice is a later capstone with a Frozen-target critical condition. These rows are not interchangeable: a character relying on crowd control must observe the status, not assume every enemy is Frozen because Ice Shards is equipped.

Ice Nova and Ice Block occupy the two Special slots. Frozen Reservoir links Ice Nova to mana recovery, while Frozen Renewal links Ice Block to healing. Their gates are later than the ability unlocks. The h announcement increases Ice Nova’s base coefficient and allows the hero’s own consumable/self buffs during Ice Block; do not retain an old assumption that self buffs are always suppressed there.

Lightning: keep Storm affordable and its targets useful

Lightning Storm is the Strong anchor for Stormcaller. Electrocute is a different Basic skill, and Lightning Cloud is a Special. A Lightning damage bonus can fit the family, but the chosen four-slot setup still needs mana, range and targets. The automatic system checks Specials first; frequent support casting can alter the remaining opportunities for the Strong and Basic attacks.

Storm Executioner combines Lightning and Elite damage in the planner; Storm Mastery adds Lightning critical damage and Lightning damage reduction. Thunderstruck links Lightning Storm hits to Short Stun, while Storm Conduit is a later Electrocute-to-Storm proc. Use the effect that addresses the chosen anchor rather than copying all Lightning names into a point list.

Mana Flow increases the pool, Mana Regeneration provides passive regeneration, and Mana Conduit adds Basic-generated mana. They are different solutions. A larger pool may extend a burst without making the loop indefinitely sustainable. If the Strong ability turns red as unaffordable, the i presentation gives a useful signal to diagnose supply rather than another reason to buy damage.

The planner includes two entries named Flame Ward at different spent-point gates with different effects. A name alone is therefore insufficient to identify a purchase. Use the row and effect text as well. This guide avoids treating ambiguous negative-cost formatting as a verified current reduction and does not invent a complete seventy-point optimized route.

Q: Should I always switch elements at a fixed level?

A level unlock gives another option. Switch when the ability, relevant talents, equipment and resource support form a usable loop; an old author’s level is not a universal trigger.

Q: Can I use three damage Specials plus a Basic?

The captured combat model has one Basic, one Strong and two Special slots. A written list must fit those slots.

Q: Does a bigger mana pool solve every spell gap?

No. Pool, regeneration, Basic mana gain, cost and casting conditions are distinct. Observe which one limits the actual repeated attack.

Q: What should I compare after changing element?

Keep map, potion/recovery settings and other gear stable. Compare complete clears, mana interruptions and deaths rather than one spell’s coefficient.
