Quick Guide
  • Deskrawl has four classes: Warrior, Sorcerer, Hunter and Monk. Choose the attack loop you want to support, then check its unlock level and ability family before spending talents or collecting a rune set.
  • The four combat slots hold one Basic Attack, one Strong Attack and two Specials. A level unlock makes an ability available; it does not equip it or make every bonus apply to it.
  • The reference below covers 56 named class abilities from the captured class sheets. The h/i patch notes qualify changed abilities; this is a source-based kit comparison, not a tested strongest-class ranking.

Choose by the loop you want to build

Class identities from Wikily; planning choices are editorial synthesis
ClassPrimary attribute and starterUseful direction to investigateFirst question to ask
WarriorStrength; Woodsman’s HatchetBasic/crit and Vulnerable, shouts, Whirlwind or a bleed-oriented Strong loopDo I need sustained melee survival or more coverage around the hero?
SorcererIntelligence; Hooked Bronze StaffFire summons, Cold/slowed targets or Lightning spell coverageWhich element and named spell do my talents and gear actually support?
HunterDexterity; Simple Wooden BowPoison, traps, ranged Basic attacks or Rapid FireAm I supporting poison ticks, trap direct hits or the Strong Attack channel?
MonkDexterity; Leather-Wrapped QuarterstaffFurious Fist, Sacred Orbs or Piercing LungeDoes my present rune threshold support Basic, Special or Strong damage?

Warrior and Monk offer melee directions; Sorcerer and Hunter offer ranged directions. Within a class, the item and talent requirements can change substantially between builds. Hunter poison gear does not become Rapid Fire gear merely because both belong to Hunter, and a Sorcerer collecting Fire Elemental bonuses is investing in a different loop from Ice Shards. Pick a main damage source before comparing rarities or filling every available ability slot.

Early class rankings often measured launch familiarity and the author’s equipment as much as the kit itself. A high clear count from a class that had more demo time does not establish a universal damage advantage. The captured class sheets report the same starting base-stat model for every hero; claims that Hunter inherently starts with the lowest HP need separate build-level evidence. This page therefore compares named mechanics and prerequisites rather than assigning S or A tiers.

Understand the four slots before choosing skills

Automatic ability order reported by Wikily
SlotAllowed familyChecked in combatWhat to inspect
1Basic AttackFourthWeapon speed, attack-speed bonus and the selected Basic attack
2Strong AttackThirdMana requirement, its own cooldown and channel or stand-still time
3SpecialSecondTarget requirements and whether this ability supports the main loop
4SpecialFirstPut the intended priority Special here, then observe its interaction with the other slot

Wikily describes a readiness check, not four simultaneous casts: the hero uses the first ready ability that finds a valid target. Strong Attacks and Specials start a global cooldown that also delays the Basic slot; Basic Attacks do not start that global cooldown. A self-buff still requires combat, and a target-dependent skill can remain unused when no valid enemy is in its range. Those conditions help explain an apparently idle skill without assuming its unlock is broken.

When a higher-priority Special is unavailable, inspect mana, cooldown, target range and status effects before replacing the class. A channel or stand-still period can delay other casts. For a build based on repeated Basic casts, adding frequent Specials may change the number of Basic opportunities even if the tooltip damage rises. This is why the same four abilities can behave differently from a list that merely totals their damage bonuses.

Warrior skill unlock reference

Warrior — Wikily level requirements, not an equip order
FamilyLevel 1/5/10 starterNext unlocks
Basic AttackValiant Strike — level 1Cleave — 15; Bloodblade — 30; Steady Blow — 45
Strong AttackFlame Strike — level 5Half Moon Slash — 20; Whirlwind — 35; Rending Onslaught — 50
SpecialRage Shout — level 10Rage Shield — 15; Deadly Hook — 25; Earthstrike — 30; Iron Thorn — 40; Molten Might — 45

A Warrior looking for area coverage can compare Cleave’s Basic cone with Whirlwind’s around-the-hero Strong attack. Rage Shout and Rage Shield are Specials, so their support belongs in the two Special slots. Half Moon Slash arrives at level 20; Rending Onslaught is a level-50 Strong option. A talent that names Valiant Strike is not a general bonus to every later Basic skill. Keep the old ability available while deciding whether the newly unlocked shape fits your usual encounter.

Sorcerer skill unlock reference

Sorcerer — Wikily level requirements, not an equip order
FamilyLevel 1/5/10 starterNext unlocks
Basic AttackFire Ball — level 1Ice Shards — 15; Electrocute — 30; Flame Lightning — 45
Strong AttackFlame Breath — level 5Ice Meteor — 20; Lightning Storm — 35; Frost Beam — 50
SpecialIce Nova — level 10Fire Elemental — 15; Ice Block — 25; Fire Meteor — 30; Flame Aura — 40; Lightning Cloud — 45

Fire Ball, Ice Shards, Electrocute and Flame Lightning are Basic options at different checkpoints. Ice Nova, Fire Elemental and Ice Block occupy Special slots rather than the Strong slot. The captured sheet puts Lightning Storm at level 35; some launch-era prose says 45, so check the installed ability panel when following an older route. The official h patch also changes Ice Nova and permits the hero’s own buffs during Ice Block. Those specific updates are more useful than treating every old caster recommendation as unchanged.

Hunter skill unlock reference

Hunter — Wikily level requirements, not an equip order
FamilyLevel 1/5/10 starterNext unlocks
Basic AttackPoison Shot — level 1Arcane Bomb — 15; Knife Barrage — 30; Twin Arrows — 45
Strong AttackSteady Shot — level 5Multishot — 20; Rapid Fire — 35; Venom Bolt — 50
SpecialPoison Trap — level 10Shockwave — 15; Flare — 25; Arcane Arrowstorm — 30; Phantom Form — 40; Frost Trap — 45

Poison Trap and Frost Trap are Specials; Rapid Fire is a level-35 Strong Attack. A trap bonus, Poisoned-target bonus and Physical damage bonus answer different questions. The h announcement increases Steady Shot, Multishot, Rapid Fire and Arcane Arrowstorm coefficients, while the i announcement changes Flare’s splash radius. Those announcements weaken the basis for judging the class from launch-day numbers. A new coefficient still does not measure your weapon, mana supply or encounter clear time.

Monk skill unlock reference

Monk — Wikily level requirements, not an equip order
FamilyLevel 1/5/10 starterNext unlocks
Basic AttackThreefold Strike — level 1Furious Fist — 15; Seismic Strike — 30; Chi Bolt — 45
Strong AttackSacred Judgment — level 5Piercing Lunge — 20; Whirlwind Staff — 35; Golden Palms — 50
SpecialSacred Orbs — level 10Spirit Stream — 15; Charge — 25; Spirit Twin — 30; Wind Steps — 40; Divine Thunder — 45

Furious Fist is a level-15 Basic Attack, Sacred Orbs a level-10 Special, and Piercing Lunge a level-20 Strong Attack. Those three anchors correspond to the three rune directions discussed in the Monk build guide. Golden Palms is a normal level-50 Strong unlock, while Hundred Hands describes a separate free proc from Furious Fist. Distinguish a generated ability from the Strong attack you have deliberately slotted. Spirit Stream and Spirit Twin are separate Specials with different jobs.

Use set names as a build direction, not a class ranking

A two-piece bonus is the effect you can use with two pieces. Four- and six-piece effects are later checkpoints, not promises attached to the set name. Keep the enabling attack, target condition and actual equipped threshold together in your notes. Mixing several incomplete sets can be sensible for their present bonuses, but it cannot be evaluated as though every six-piece effect were active.

A practical plan for the first character

Choose an available anchor

Begin with the starter Basic attack and the next unlocked support ability. Write down the family that does most of your damage.

Read the next real checkpoint

Use the level table to distinguish a future ability from an immediately usable one. Do not buy a set solely for a skill still locked.

Match talents and equipment

Read named-skill and target-condition lines. Keep enough recovery to finish the node while you develop the new direction.

Observe casting

Watch the four slots, mana and target range. If the planned anchor rarely casts, resolve that interruption before chasing a larger tooltip bonus.

Compare one repeatable activity

Use the same node, stock and recovery settings for both setups. Record deaths and clear times, then decide whether the direction fits your aim.

Q: Do new skills automatically replace the old ones?

A level requirement identifies availability, not an instruction to equip every new skill. Check the selected abilities in the four combat slots.

Q: Can I put three Specials in the four slots?

The captured auto-combat reference describes one Basic, one Strong and two Special slots. Plan around those family restrictions.

Q: Which class is the strongest after h/i?

These sources identify announced buffs and class mechanics. They do not provide a controlled four-class benchmark with equal gear and comparable talent budgets.

Q: What should I share when asking for build help?

Include class, level, four selected abilities, rune threshold, weapon and mana/recovery problem. A class name alone does not identify the build.
