Quick Guide
  • Read Carriage Settings as an equipment-disposition rule: keep an upgrade candidate, sell a disposable rarity for gold, or salvage it for materials.
  • AFK Meta and Wikily list Equipment Auto-Sell at 1,500 gold after Gold Find I; including Auto Recovery and Gold Find I, its route totals 1,700 gold.
  • Source timing differs: ApolloTrail’s through-h guide places sales at town return, while the newer references describe sale at pickup without using carriage room. Legendary Reins have an official 1.0.0i pickup exception.

Start with the slot you are trying to improve

A filter is useful only after deciding what the build still needs. Compare your current weapon and weak equipment slots before marking a rarity disposable. If you are still wearing Common gear, automatically disposing of every Uncommon drop can hide the simplest replacement. ApolloTrail illustrates this with a Hunter stuck on a +6 Common weapon until Uncommon selling was disabled and a better bow was retained. The decision is about the item’s effect on your build, rather than color alone.

Editorial starting policy, derived from the referenced actions
Equipment groupInitial decisionWhen to revisit
A rarity that still upgrades a weak slotPick Up and inspectAfter replacing that slot or changing the build
Low-rarity gear that no longer helpsAuto-Sell for a gold goalWhen starting a new character or finding a new stat need
Unwanted equipment that supplies needed materialsAuto-Salvage after its unlockAfter finishing the material bill
Divine equipment or Rune Set itemsRetain and inspect individuallyWhenever a valuable object enters the bag

Gold Find, Item Find and a rarity filter are also different controls. Gold Find changes the gold bonus in the reference; Item Find changes item rarity quality; a disposal rule changes what happens to the resulting equipment. Spending on Item Find does not fix a rule that sells the improvements you wanted. Conversely, a mostly empty cart may simply show that Auto-Sell is working before the items occupy it.

Unlock Auto-Sell without confusing the total bill

Source-reported route to Equipment Auto-Sell
PurchaseRequirementNode costCalculated running total
Auto RecoveryRoot50 gold50
Gold Find IAuto Recovery150 gold200
Equipment Auto-SellThat Gold Find I1,500 gold1,700

The final node’s 1,500-gold price is not the empty-tree budget. Add the 50-gold root and 150-gold prerequisite to obtain 1,700 gold. If both are already learned, the remaining bill is the final node. Repeated names deeper in the tree should be located by their connections and costs; another Gold Find I is not necessarily the starting node shown here. This avoids buying a bonus branch when your immediate objective was a convenience feature.

ApolloTrail describes buying Equipment Auto-Filter and Equipment Auto-Sell separately. AFK Meta’s newer list does not present that same standalone filter prerequisite and Wikily presents one carriage action per rarity. Do not invent a second current unlock cost from the older text. If your client exposes Auto-Filter, read its actual tooltip and route; if it exposes the newer actions directly, follow those labels. The article treats the source discrepancy as a version question to resolve in the interface.

Configure and verify one rarity at a time

Open the carriage controls

Inspect the equipment rarity actions and confirm which options the learned Life Skills have unlocked. Do not confuse chest, material or Rein toggles with equipment colors.

Preserve possible improvements

Keep the rarity supplying the current weapon or a weak slot. Lock reserve gear before manual bulk selling in town.

Set one disposable category

Choose Auto-Sell for that category if gold is the next goal. Start with Common only when Common items are no longer useful to the setup.

Watch an eligible drop

In the newer references, gold is produced at pickup and the item does not occupy carriage space. Observe a short run rather than waiting only for a town event.

Inspect the return

Review kept equipment, chest rewards, inventory space and gold. A return is still a useful cleanup checkpoint even if disposal happened earlier.

Review after a progression change

New classes, zones, weapon families and build goals can make a previously disposable rarity useful again. Reopen the policy before a long unattended session.

Use one controlled change so that its result is interpretable. Turning on selling, salvage, skipping chests and skipping materials at once makes a quieter cart impossible to diagnose. Record the original settings first, then observe whether the intended resource changes. This is a practical test design, not evidence that the current client has been tested for this guide.

Keep equipment colors separate from chests, materials and Reins

Wikily carriage controls and official exception
Control or categorySource-reported behaviorImportant distinction
Common through Legendary equipmentOne action per rarity: Pick Up, unlocked Auto-Sell or Auto-SalvageThe action is about equipment
Collect ChestsWhen off, dropped chests are left on the groundA chest has its own pickup toggle
Collect MaterialsWhen off, material nodes are skippedThis controls gathering rather than equipment sale
Reins FilterReference says it retains unowned/not-already-carried Reins when onOlder duplicate advice does not override the patch-i exception
Legendary Reins, official 1.0.0iAlways picked up regardless of filter settingsPickup does not automatically unlock or sell the minion

Wikily also says Divine equipment and Rune Set items are always picked up and that each character keeps its own carriage settings. A well-configured character therefore does not establish the settings on another character. After switching, inspect the active policy rather than copying assumptions from an earlier session. Materials use a separate panel, so a gather stop and a full equipment bag are distinct constraints.

A retained Steam suggestion says blue equipment from an opened chest was auto-sold under a blue filter. That is a player report, not a reproduced behavior or an official chest-processing specification. If a chest reward disappears, observe an opening with a conservative keep policy and available slots before changing every setting. The town chest guide separates documented rewards from unverified automation requests.

Resolve the town-return versus pickup description

The launch-era ApolloTrail table explicitly says selected equipment from carriage and inventory sells when you return to town. Its page scope is through patch 1.0.0h. The AFK Meta list says “the moment the carriage picks it up” during combat, and Wikily independently prints the same operational description. Those sources may reflect revised behavior or documentation, but they do not name a patch changing the timing. This review therefore does not assign a guessed version boundary.

Filter questions and failed setups

Q: Why is the carriage empty while gold increases?

AFK Meta and Wikily describe Auto-Sell at pickup, without occupying carriage space. An empty cart can be expected when most equipment is disposable.

Q: Why did auto-selling not improve my weapon?

It cannot improve the equipped item by itself. If the replacement rarity is disposed of, keep it for comparison and inspect the weapon’s actual damage and effects.

Q: Should I leave low rarities on the ground?

ApolloTrail recommends preserving gold income through selling rather than skipping low rarities before Auto-Sell. Follow the actual options in your build.

Q: Are locked inventory items equivalent to a carriage filter?

No. Locking is a manual item safeguard; the carriage policy applies to newly collected equipment. The reviewed text does not demonstrate every automatic-lock interaction.

Q: Can I switch the same rarity between sale and salvage?

The reference lists one action per equipment rarity. Choose the resource that is currently limiting the next purchase or recipe.

Q: Do I need to recheck another character?

Yes. Wikily describes carriage settings as character-specific, even where some account resources and Life Skills are shared.

If gold is sufficient and materials are the bottleneck, read Auto-Salvage or Sell.
