Quick Guide
  • Wikily reports carriage capacity as the active minion’s base capacity plus Life Skills bonuses: 15–35 base, 20 without a minion, up to +12 from skills.
  • Auto-Fill Inventory sends newly collected loot to a free inventory slot after the carriage fills. It is not documented as a direct overflow route to storage.
  • AFK Meta lists Auto-Fill at 6,000 gold after Equipment Auto-Sell. From an empty tree, Auto Recovery → Gold Find I → Auto-Sell → Auto-Fill totals 7,700 gold.

Understand what actually occupies the carriage

Loot collection and loot retention are separate decisions. A dropped piece of gear may be picked up, converted to gold, or broken into materials under the rarity rule. Wikily says automatic selling and salvaging happen when the carriage collects the drop, even in combat, and neither consumes carriage space. An empty bag after a long session therefore cannot tell you whether nothing dropped, the drops were processed immediately, or the cart never reached its overflow condition. Start with the visible carriage label and the configured action for the equipment rarity.

The inventory reference gives 40 inventory slots, with materials tracked in their own panel instead of those slots. Chests and retained equipment still need room. Stackable loot that already has a pile in the carriage can join that pile even when capacity is full. One more object in a stack is not evidence that a new empty slot became available, and the number of occupied slots is more useful than counting every unit in stacked loot.

Calculate the room supplied by your minion and tree

Wikily’s capacity formula is the active minion’s carriage capacity plus the bonus from Life Skills. The cited range is 15–35 on minions, 20 with no minion, and +12 if all nine carriage-capacity nodes are learned, giving a reported maximum of 47. This is a reference ceiling, not a starting allowance. Read the equipped minion and the summary of learned bonuses; changing companions can reduce hauling space even when the new one is stronger in combat.

AFK Meta examples; arithmetic illustrates capacity changes
Active minionSource base capacityWith a hypothetical +2 skill bonus
Black Spider1517
Brown Horse2022
Bloodmoon Werewolf2527
Ancient Oak Treant3032
Raptor3537

Choosing Raptor instead of Black Spider would add 20 base carriage slots in these reference entries. That is a hauling comparison, not a universal best-minion ranking: their abilities and passives differ. Keep the companion that sustains the run if a larger cart would bring repeated deaths. Use Minion Reins and Duplicates to compare the actual combat effect with hauling capacity rather than replacing a useful companion solely for its number.

Unlock Auto-Fill on the correct branch

AFK Meta and Wikily agree on this short route
NodeRequiresListed node cost
Auto RecoveryRoot50 gold
Gold Find IAuto Recovery150 gold
Equipment Auto-SellThat Gold Find I1,500 gold
Auto-Fill InventoryEquipment Auto-Sell6,000 gold

The full route above totals 7,700 gold when none of its nodes is owned. From an already learned Auto-Sell, only the final 6,000-gold purchase remains. Avoid confusing Auto-Fill with the Capacity I node beside it: Capacity adds carriage room; Auto-Fill changes where newly collected items go once that room is exhausted. The source text says “when space is available,” so a full inventory removes the receiving capacity even if the skill is learned.

The reviewed storage page documents town storage, not an automatic overflow feed. A Steam player asks for backfilling into the storage chest, but that is a wish in a discussion, not evidence of an implemented feature. Plan an unattended run around the carriage and free inventory slots you actually have. Stashing equipment in town before departure creates free bag slots; merely owning empty storage pages does not establish that drops can reach them while you are away.

Run a useful overflow check

Prepare receiving space

Return to town, retain and lock upgrades, and store reserve items. Record how many inventory slots are free; materials do not use those slots in Wikily’s description.

Record the full configuration

Note the active minion, carriage capacity, learned Auto-Fill, and the action for each equipment rarity. Keep a screenshot of the tooltips if the behavior differs from a source.

Use a sustainable repeatable node

Choose a node you can survive long enough to fill the cart with retained drops. A low-drop stage with most rarities auto-disposed may never exercise overflow.

Watch the capacity transition

Wikily gives two distinct full-cart messages: no more loot collected, or loot goes to inventory when Auto-Fill and bag space are present. Check which message you see.

Follow one new eligible item

Observe a retained drop after the full-cart message. Check whether it appears in inventory instead of assuming existing cart contents should move wholesale.

Report only a reproduced condition

If the bag stays empty, retain the version, node, capacity, free slots, rarity actions and the observed item. That record distinguishes a failed overflow from a session that generated no eligible new item.

The protocol is editorial troubleshooting, not an in-game benchmark we have already run. In particular, do not turn off all disposal rules and leave a valuable session unattended simply to produce a failure. Use a short observed test and stop once the condition is clear. If you must change a rule for the test, restore your intended keep/sell policy afterward.

Two retained Steam threads contain launch-player reports of a full carriage and empty inventory after hours away. One reply says an inventory had already filled; another says a non-boss stage with Rare-only collection and lower rarities auto-sold or salvaged could explain the observation. These posts establish that players observed and debated the symptom. They do not establish a universal defect, a developer acknowledgment or a patch that fixes it.

Carriage and overflow questions

Q: Does Auto-Fill transfer the whole carriage into my bag?

The newer AFK Meta/Wikily wording is newly collected loot going to inventory when the cart is full and bag space exists. ApolloTrail’s older guide also describes new loot, so do not assume a wholesale cart transfer.

Q: Does Auto-Fill keep farming forever?

Both carriage and inventory remain finite. A free storage page is not a documented automatic receiving destination.

Q: Why did capacity shrink after changing minions?

Each minion has its own base capacity. Skills add to the active companion’s value; compare the old and new entries before farming.

Q: Why do materials increase when the inventory is full?

The reviewed reference stores materials in a separate panel rather than normal inventory slots. Material carry limits are a separate constraint.

Q: What should I do before an overnight session?

Observe a successful loop first, clear reserve gear into town storage, confirm sustainable combat, and check what each retained rarity will do when capacity is reached.
