- Continue Normal through Tazan Isles → The Barrens → The Crimson Vale → Veldak Highlands → The Defiled Keep → The Cinder Crown. Use preceding clears for progression and material names for farming; the table does not establish the fastest XP route.
Use the late route as a chain of checkpoints
The Normal route continues from Tazan Wastes into Tazan Isles, The Barrens, The Crimson Vale, Veldak Highlands, The Defiled Keep and finally The Cinder Crown. AFK Meta’s dated map lists enemy levels from 34–35 at the first island stage through 70 at the final Cinder Crown stages. This page organizes that chain and its materials; it does not claim a timed speed-leveling route or a class-independent clear strategy.
A high-level route combines several goals that deserve separate decisions. Unlocking the next region, gathering a recipe material, obtaining a boss-specific item and testing sustained experience are not interchangeable. Before choosing a node, identify which one matters. For progression, the preceding-clear column is the main lookup. For ingredient farming, the material column is more useful. For a boss item, the stage-ending boss is the checkpoint to investigate.

Tazan Isles and The Barrens: two different gathering routes
Tazan Isles starts after Tazan Wastes: 7 and reaches Tidewrath Crab King at stage 7, enemy level 40. The map lists Tidesilk Kelp and Crimson Coral along the island route. The Barrens follows the island clear, reaching Redrock Lord at enemy level 46. Refer to the per-stage rows when selecting a specific gathering material rather than assuming adjacent regions share ingredients.
The named Legendary minion at an ending stage is a possible special drop, not a required progression purchase. A player can be advancing toward the next region while still missing that minion. Keep an equipment upgrade decision separate from a minion collection target: if a drop is useful, lock it and inspect its effect; if it does not appear, the table still helps locate the next stage in the route.
The Crimson Vale and Veldak Highlands: inspect the late loop
The Crimson Vale spans enemy levels 46–52 and ends at Lord of the Crimson Vale. Veldak Highlands spans 52–58 and ends at Frost Dragon. Each uses stage 4 as the mini-boss checkpoint and stage 7 as the region-ending boss in the dated reference. The Highlands rows include Frostbloom and Snowleaf; their presence gives a concrete ingredient destination alongside the progression chain.
A loop can become less efficient even when every run eventually clears. Watch health depletion, recovery use and town interruptions over the whole run. If you change to a newer stage and repeatedly wait for recovery, compare with your previous stage using the same configuration. The map supplies enemy levels; it does not supply your hero’s real XP per hour or time to kill. Those remain observations to make on your own character.
The Defiled Keep and The Cinder Crown: finish Normal deliberately
The Defiled Keep progresses from enemy levels 58–59 to Defiled Wyrm at level 64. The Cinder Crown then starts at level 65 and reaches Lord of the Cinder at stage 7, level 70. Lord of the Cinder is the final-boss checkpoint used by the community difficulty reference: completing it on Normal unlocks Nightmare, and completing it on Nightmare unlocks Inferno.
Completing the final Normal boss is a progression milestone, not a recommendation to move an unattended loop immediately to the newly unlocked difficulty. Higher difficulties change enemy scaling and reward rules. Return to town, inspect the difficulty selection and retest recovery before treating the next difficulty as a replacement for your established farming node. The boss-material needs of Mythic Rift also form a separate resource plan.
Keep late boss materials distinct from ordinary gathering
| Boss destination | Listed special material | Later use to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Tazan Isles: 7 / Tidewrath Crab King | Tidewrath Pincer | Relevant potion recipe |
| The Barrens: 7 / Redrock Lord | Redrock Shard | Relevant potion recipe |
| The Crimson Vale: 7 / Lord of the Crimson Vale | Crimson Wyrm Eye | Relevant potion recipe |
| Veldak Highlands: 7 / Frost Dragon | Frostheart Crystal | One component for a Mythic Rift completed run |
| The Defiled Keep: 7 / Defiled Wyrm | Defiled Wyrm Scales | One component for a Mythic Rift completed run |
| The Cinder Crown: 7 / Lord of the Cinder | Cinderlord Horns | One component for a Mythic Rift completed run |
Store a required component instead of treating every non-equipped item as disposable. A crafting material and an equipment rarity filter are different categories, and a later use may consume an item that appears valuable for another purpose. Read the recipe or entry description before committing the material. This table gives named destinations but deliberately does not turn a community probability into a guaranteed number of runs.
Plan a supervised attempt before a longer session
Read the preceding-clear column
Locate the stage directly before your target. A missing unlock should be investigated as a route condition rather than an automatic failure of your equipment.
Confirm the current difficulty
The enemy levels in this table are Normal references. The same region name on Nightmare or Inferno does not imply the same enemy level or incoming damage.
Prepare capacity and recovery
Protect planned upgrades and entry materials. Check potion setup, carriage capacity and town behavior before you interpret a stopped session as a combat problem.
Record the full result
Note stage, class, difficulty, deaths, time spent in town and useful rewards. A complete record makes a later comparison meaningful without claiming another player’s results are yours.
Choose whether to progress or farm
Advance after a clear when the next unlock is the goal. Repeat a sustainable material stage when crafting is the goal. There is no universal best late-stage node established by these sources.
Late-route questions
Q: Is The Cinder Crown optional for difficulty unlocks?
The community difficulty reference places Lord of the Cinder at The Cinder Crown: 7 as the final-boss condition for the next difficulty. Check that condition in your current build.
Q: Can the Normal enemy-level table be reused unchanged on Inferno?
No. Wikily describes Nightmare and Inferno enemies outside the Rift as level 70, with different scaling. Use this table for the Normal route and region order.
Q: Are Mythic Rift materials consumed just by entering?
Wikily’s Rift entry page states that its three materials are consumed only on completing the run. That is a community-source rule to confirm in the current entry interface, especially online.
Q: Does this establish the fastest XP route?
No. It provides destinations and prerequisites. Measured XP per hour requires your character’s actual clear time and interruptions, which are not established here.
