Quick Guide
  • Start on a cleared node you can survive repeatedly, confirm Auto Rerun is enabled, then watch a complete fight–carriage–town cycle before leaving it unattended. Repetition does not choose your next progression node.
  • ApolloTrail’s launch-through-h guide lists Auto Recovery at 50 gold, Auto Refill at 500 and Equipment Auto-Sell at 1,500. Check the connected Life Skill prerequisites and confirmation prices in your tree before spending.

What a successful idle loop must do

Deskrawl automates combat, but the useful result is a complete cycle: your hero clears the selected node, the minion collects the loot you intended to keep, the carriage delivers it in town, and the hero starts another run with enough health and potion charges. Watching only the first fight misses the return and storage conditions that can interrupt a long session. The official store describes minions as both carriage haulers and combat support; it does not promise unlimited unattended storage.

Begin in Kings Woods if you are following ApolloTrail’s first-session route. The guide identifies Bloodmoon Werewolf as that region’s boss, then points toward Northhill Crypt with Dark Elf Mage and Ogre. Treat these as progression destinations, rather than instructions to leave a new hero on the hardest available encounter. Observe several runs on a cleared node first. A slower clear with no repeated deaths may be the better unattended experiment than a newly unlocked map that spends most of its time reviving.

Inspect Auto Rerun as part of the first test. Wikily reports it off by default, with a four-second summary countdown for a stage and eight seconds for a Mythic Rift run. It repeats the same map rather than advancing progression and is a PC-level setting shared by characters. ApolloTrail describes the repeat loop without that toggle detail; do not assume repetition is already enabled just because combat is automatic.

First test: judge the whole cycle
PhaseWatch forWhy it matters
CombatRepeated clears, potion use and deathsA single lucky clear does not establish a stable run
CollectionWanted drops reaching the carriageFilter settings can make a drop look absent
TownLoot delivery, health and charge recoveryAutomation acts at specific transitions
RestartThe same chosen node runs againProgression to a new node still needs your choice

Unlock the interruption you actually have

Return to town and inspect the non-combat Life Skills tree. ApolloTrail reports that adjacent purchases reveal more nodes, so an unseen convenience skill may be behind a prerequisite rather than missing from your installation. The official 0.1.10 announcement introduced carriage auto-filter and selling at drop-off; it did not publish the gold prices below. Those prices belong to the later launch guide, which covers through h.

Launch-guide purchases to inspect in town
SkillReported costUse in this test
Auto Recovery50 goldRecover full HP on a town return
Auto Refill500 goldRestore potion charges after town or revive
Equipment Auto-Sell1,500 goldTurn chosen unwanted rarities into gold at town
Combat Potion Auto-Use Slot2,500 goldEnable automatic use of a combat potion

Buy the reachable skill that fixes an observed interruption. If you already survive and refill, another recovery purchase does not solve a full inventory. If you die before the first return, auto-sell cannot fix the damage problem. Keep enough gold to inspect the next prerequisite instead of assuming all four costs can be bought directly from the initial tree. After each purchase, repeat the same node so the result can be attributed to that change.

The official 0.1.9 auto-revive announcement describes a countdown followed by full HP and HP-potion charges. That is a fallback after failure, not evidence that death is free in your farming plan. Record how often the countdown interrupts combat. Life Skill improvements and an easier node are different ways to reduce the interruption; choose based on what the cycle shows.

Set potion behavior before leaving

Open Combat Settings

Inspect the HP-potion threshold and the combat-potion auto-use control. The official 0.1.13 announcement identifies these controls separately.

Adjust for the observed death

If health repeatedly falls past the threshold before a drink saves the hero, try a higher threshold and rerun the same encounter. A launch player’s 75% suggestion is an experiment, not a universal setting.

Read the potion category

ApolloTrail distinguishes combat and utility potions. The automatic combat slot is a Life Skill purchase; a potion in your inventory alone does not prove automatic use is enabled.

Check the return

Observe charge recovery and the buff state after death or town. The guide reports death clearing buffs and town ending an XP potion; plan a long XP-buff session on a node you can repeat, with that limitation in mind.

Separate survival from speed while setting this up. A threshold change can prevent a death without raising weapon damage. A stronger weapon can shorten a fight while leaving the potion configuration wrong. Change one of them, watch the whole cycle, then decide whether the next adjustment is necessary. This makes a later stalled run easier to diagnose than changing equipment, potions and node difficulty at the same time.

Protect upgrades while making space

Open the carriage settings and inspect the options you have actually unlocked. Auto-Filter leaves deselected rarities on the ground. ApolloTrail describes Auto-Sell on a town return, matching the older official 0.1.10 drop-off announcement; Wikily’s Gold branch instead says selected equipment is sold immediately when the carriage picks it up during combat. These are different timing claims. Observe a controlled unwanted drop and the gold/bag change in your client before planning capacity around either account.

Rejecting a Common item before collection and selling it for gold are different outcomes. ApolloTrail recommends starting with Common auto-sell while keeping Uncommon until your equipment is better. Its example of a Hunter stuck with an upgraded Common weapon shows why selling every possible replacement too early can stall progression.

  • Hover each plausible weapon upgrade for the stat-difference comparison; look at DPS as well as its rarity.
  • Use item Lock for equipment you want to retain before bulk selling. Official 0.1.13 added that protection.
  • Keep room in the bag when using Auto-Fill Inventory. An empty bag after a run may mean most drops were filtered or sold, rather than proving the overflow option failed.
  • Do not drag an item outside the inventory while experimenting with input. The launch guide reports that this destroys it; NPC buyback is for sold items, not a general undo.

Legendary Reins need a version check of their own. Advice through h may discuss skipping duplicates with a Rein filter, but official i says Legendary Reins are always picked up regardless of filters. Plan capacity around the newer exception; the setting for another rarity is not evidence that an orange Rein will be ignored.

Keep a small baseline for a meaningful retry: class and level, node, equipped weapon, HP threshold, retained rarities, whether the game stayed open, and how many deaths occurred. Combat Summary gained single-run and cumulative combat time in 0.1.13. Use those displayed values when comparing runs, rather than treating two unequal wall-clock intervals as equal farming tests.

First-session questions

Q: Does Deskrawl automatically move to the next farming node?

ApolloTrail reports repetition of the current node. Select the next progression node yourself; an unattended farming loop does not make that decision.

Q: Is minimizing or hiding the game the same as closing it?

No. This setup tests an application that remains running. Closed-game XP and gold require the separate Expedition Camp system described in the expedition guide.

Q: Should I immediately sell every Uncommon item?

Keep rarities that can still improve your equipment. ApolloTrail’s launch recommendation is Common auto-sell first, with Uncommon retained until the worn slots are better.

Q: What proves the loop is ready for a long session?

Several repeatable clears plus the intended collection, town delivery, recovery and restart. That is a practical test you can perform; this article does not certify an overnight result on your hardware.
