Quick Guide
  • AFK Meta reports rune slots at hero levels 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65. Under that schedule, two-, four- and six-piece set thresholds first fit at levels 45, 55 and 65.
  • A rune’s own level runs from one to six; a skill’s unlock level and the hero’s slot level are separate requirements. Raising one rune does not add a second equipped set piece.
  • The captured community references list 13 class sets. Drop percentages are qualified as offline rules, and one named rune’s sale value conflicts between publishers. Check the exact item before equipping or selling.

Six slots and the earliest possible set thresholds

AFK Meta — hero level opens capacity, not a guaranteed rune drop
Hero levelAvailable slotsNew threshold possible
401A single equipped rune; no two-piece set effect yet
452Two-piece effect
503Three pieces still use the two-piece threshold
554Four-piece effect
605Five pieces still use the four-piece threshold
656Six-piece effect

The third column is derived from the listed slot schedule. It assumes the required distinct pieces are actually owned and can be equipped. Reaching level sixty-five opens capacity; it does not supply the set. An ability such as Sacred Orbs at level ten can be part of an earlier skill plan, but the character is not already wearing a two-piece Wheel set at that level.

Hero level, rune level and piece count are different numbers

Hero levelOpens the next rune slot under the source scheduleA level-six rune opens six hero slots.
Rune level 1–6The individual rune’s strength/ability-level recordOne upgraded rune counts as several pieces.
Set count 2/4/6Number of equipped set pieces producing thresholdsOwning six pieces in storage activates the effect.
Ability unlock levelMakes the enabling skill availableThe rune equipment gate is the same as the spell gate.

Set runes, class ability runes and general attribute/condition runes have different roles. A class ability rune can raise its named ability without belonging to the desired six-piece set. A general rune such as Longshot supports a target condition. Inspect the set name and category rather than assuming every rune that mentions the same skill counts toward its set.

AFK Meta’s captured tables contain 119 rune entries: thirteen sets of six pieces, thirty-two class single runes and nine general single runes. That is a count of the retained reference rows, not a live inventory audit. Its higher single-rune values are explicitly marked “to be confirmed in play,” so this page does not turn every level-six range into a tested stat recommendation.

Use the table as a compatibility and mechanic reference. The right set is the one whose enabling attack and condition match your build. Mixed pieces can still provide individual properties or reached two-piece effects, but a character cannot compare that setup as if it had several complete six-piece bonuses. The class build guides explain which resource or survival shortage to inspect for each direction.

Read the rune drop rules in the correct scope

Wikily reports rune drops from boss encounters of level forty or higher: a two-percent roll from a cleared boss encounter and one-and-a-half percent on mini-boss stages. Only runes usable by the current hero’s class drop in that reference. The text explicitly qualifies these as offline rules; online loot is decided by the server. They are not a certified current online farming rate.

Wikily — composition of rune drops before the stated Inferno weighting
Rune typeOrdinary compositionInferno composition
Attribute56.28%56%
Ability43.72%43.5%
SetNot in the ordinary set-drop row0.5% before loot bonus / Item Find weighting

The 0.5% is presented as set-rune weight within rune drops, not a total chance per boss kill. The text says that weight is multiplied by the stage loot bonus and by (1 + 0.2 × Item Find). Applying a weight requires the full resulting selection model; multiplying a boss percentage by an arbitrary Item Find input and calling it a measured drop rate would omit assumptions. This guide therefore preserves the source’s units and does not promise a number of runs to finish a set.

The individual Wheel Rune I page explicitly says Normal and Nightmare do not drop Set Runes in this offline model. A plan waiting for a complete set on those difficulties needs a different acquisition route or a scope correction, rather than simply more time on the same ordinary node. Verify current client and mode before applying that restriction to an online character.

Check the exact rune before equipping or selling

Read class and set name

Confirm the hero can equip it and whether it belongs to the set you intend to complete.

Count available slots

Check hero level and equipped pieces, not only how many runes are owned.

Check duplicates

The Wheel Rune I record says more than one cannot be equipped. Do not assume repeated copies finish six distinct pieces.

Check trade status

That same named item is tradable until equipped. Read the individual item before an action that changes its state.

Compare the current sale quote

Wikily lists 1,250 gold for Wheel Rune I, while AFK Meta’s table lists 5,000. Do not publish a universal sale-value claim from that disagreement.

Do not erase the price conflict

The two retained values are kept separately. A different data date, balance version or item interpretation may explain them, but the available source bodies do not prove which explanation is correct. Use the actual item’s displayed quote for a sale decision.

Questions that prevent wasted progression

Q: Why does a third set rune not add another set effect?

The reported thresholds are two, four and six equipped pieces. A third piece can add its own property without reaching the next threshold.

Q: Does Rune level six mean the set is complete?

No. It describes one rune’s level. Set completion depends on equipped pieces and available slots.

Q: Can I farm a promised six-piece set time from these percentages?

The sources lack a measured current-mode acquisition rate and a full duplicate/selection model. The reference describes eligibility and weighting, not a guaranteed completion timetable.

Q: What should I do with duplicate set pieces?

Protect the pieces that form a real next threshold, then inspect equip and trade restrictions on each duplicate. Do not rely on a universal sale price.

Q: Where do I choose a set for my attack?

Use the Warrior, Hunter, Sorcerer or Monk family guide with the correct anchor and resource condition; the set name alone is not a build.
